IR Requires CART Writers - Fall 2011 Sessions
Are you currently a CART writer or captioner and looking for work?
IR needs remote CART writers immediately!
IR provides over 200 hours of CART services each week and that number is
growing. We are looking for experienced CART writers, or reporters who have at least two years of realtime experience, to take on remote CART classes during
the weekdays. There may be some evening or weekend classes as well.
The main focus of this work is in the educational area. Our clients are university, college and high school students across North America.

IR's Remote CART Services are environmentally friendly...
How is IR's Remote CART Services environmentally friendly?
First, our CART writers work from home and don't travel to the clients site or
the corporate office. This reduces road traffic, fuel consumption, and
greenhouse gas emissions.
Second, all our services are electronically delivered, right to our invoice
delivery Students using our services receive delivery of an electronic
file at the end of each class instead of a paper version of the notes. And by
delivering our invoices electronically to the client, this also helps to reduce
and minimize the additional impact of creating and using paper.
Third, because our writers work remotely, we can use less writers to cover the
same amount of work as multiple writers or interpreters. This also reduces the
waste used by having many writers or interpreters to cover the work of less
Remote CART writers.
These small things help IR to reduce the footprint that is made by using other
services where an interpreter or live CART writer is used in the classroom.
However small, it is another approach to helping to be "GREEN" while providing a
high level of service to our clients.

IR adds video to Remote CART Services...
For our remote CART clients, IR has now added the ability to incorporate video
to our Remote CART Services. The video aspect is useful in Distance Learning
applications. Your students can hear the instructor, see the instructor,
view any presentations that the instructor is showing, and also read the
realtime text of what the instructor is saying.
